Unfortunately, the grooming industry is completely unregulated. While heartbreaking, it's not surprising that so many beloved pets are injured or killed at grooming salons every year when anyone can buy a pair of clippers and call themselves a groomer, even if their education is entirely nonexistent or dangerously outdated.

Fortunately, there are grooming seminars all around the world, as well as fantastic organizations such as the National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA) and the National Cat Groomers Institute of America (NCGIA) that offer membership, certification, and education.
Does your groomer keep their education current? We at Royal Treatment Mobile Pet Spa highly value our commitment to continuing education.
Owner and lead pet stylist, Dawn Marshall, is headed to Hershey, Pennsylvania at the end of September this year to submerse herself in 4 days worth of amazing seminars at GroomExpo.
Dawn Marshall (owner and lead pet stylist) and Dan Marshall (lead bathing specialist) are going to Northwest Grooming Show in April of next year for another 4 days of awesome seminars.
We are so excited for these upcoming learning opportunities!
